This week’s episode Ceri chats with Jackie Mahon, one of Ireland’s leading fly tyers. and a true master in dying, specialising in Irish Lough patterns. He talks about how he got into the art of dying and what is involved in getting the rich Irish colours to his flies. As well as a pro fly tyer he is also a guide on waters around his home in Sligo, including Melvin, Arrow and Glen Car.

This week I thought I'd start the new year podcasts with an episode about Lough Corrib. Will be of interest to those wanting to fish it and those who like myself have a passion for this special place. I talk about how it all come about for me, the flies I have had success with over the years, mayfly time, favourite areas plus the time I took a 7lb brown off the shore.
