Hi guys, I've had a few requests lately from new patrons of the channel asking for more ferox content. So this week's episode I tell the story of a special day back in 2006 where I get 5 ferox in one day up to 12lb while fishing Corrib. Plus at the end of the day as nightime came I had an unexpected take. Day's like this don't come around that often.

He chats about his trips to Orkney and Ireland including, Corrib, Arrow, the lakes of Donegal and Currane plus his local water Malham Tarn where he tells us the story of a magnificent brown he caught over 9lb earlier this year.

Originally from South Africa but has been over in the North West of Ireland now coming up to 20 years. He gives advice on fly patterns and methods for fishing these waters this coming September, also talks of the Sonaghan and Gillaroo ofound in Melvin.
This weeks episode I chat with Ted Wherry. He has such a passion for wild browns he left his home in the UK and moved over to the West of Ireland near the shores of Lough Corrib. He fishes most days throughout the season and loves fishing dries, whether its buzzer time, olives, mayfly or sedges. He has had great success over the years catching fish between 4 to 7lb most seasons. He also talks of his timber boat which is his pride and joy.
This weeks Podcast episode I chat with Waterford angler Jason O Riordan. Early season he can be seen fishing his local reservoir Knockaderry for both browns and rainbows, but as soon as the weather warms up he turns to the salt to fish for Bass and Mullet. It is plain to see he has a passion for Bass and fishes the eastuary near his home and along the Copper Coast. He also talks of the occasional trip up to Corrib and the enjoyment he gets fishing with good friends.
This week I talk of my recent success fishing for ferox on Lough Corrib. I have had great success over the years and spent hundreds of hours catching ferox to over 20lb including the record 25lb 2oz. In this episode I share some of my knowlege and give an insight into catching these incredible specimens. I am also offering patrons the chance of winning a day with me ferox fishing this September. This week I had an amazing few days on the Corrib at Portacarron Bay. I talk of my experience, the conditions, tactics and flies used. I caught all my fish on a fly given to me by professional tyer Jimmy Tyrrell, a deadly detached body mayfly. All fish were from 2.5lb to just under 6lb. Enjoy!
This week's episode I chat with Keith McDonnell who like me has a passion for ferox and big brown trout. Living in Dublin, he travells the length and breadth of Ireland in search for his quarry using his favourite method of articulated streamer fishing. He has had success in both rivers and loughs and talks of the River Slaney and Boyne and Kylemore Lough. He recently set up ‘Impact Flyfishing’ sharing his knowledge and selling his personally tied articulated streamers.

She talks of her local waters Lough Conn and Lough Cullen in County Mayo. She started her fishing career when she took over Healys Hotel on the shores of Lough Cullen in Pontoon back in 1989. She also goes on to tell of the time she met up with Martin McGuinness when shared his passion of Lough Mask.

As well as his passion for fishing at Mayfly time on Lough Sheelin and Erne he talks also of his love of fishing for daphnia feeders on Lough Mask and Melvin out in deep water and methods which has brought him success. He is also a big competition angler and talks about some of his achievements and his goals for this season.

He talks about how he got into the art of dying and what is involved in getting the rich Irish colours to his flies. As well as a pro fly tyer he is also a guide on waters around his home in Sligo, including Melvin, Arrow and Glen Car.
